“Thus says the Lord to His anointed,
To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—
To subdue nations before him
And loose the armor of kings,
To open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut:
‘I will go before you
And make the crooked places straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze
And cut the bars of iron.
I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the Lord,
Who call you by your name,
Am the God of Israel.
For Jacob My servant’s sake,
And Israel My elect,
I have even called you by your name;
I have named you, though you have not known Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting
That there is none besides Me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other;
I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the Lord, do all these things.’ (Isaiah 45:1-7, emphasis added)
200 years before Cyrus was born, the great I AM spoke to him.
Before Cyrus was conceived in his mother’s womb — before his mother was conceived in her mothers womb — God spoke to Cyrus.
Before he took his first breath, took his first step, or sat on his Babylon throne God told Cyrus His plan.
God had a plan — a detailed plan — for his servant Cyrus. It wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t by chance or luck or because of a random chain of events that Cyrus’s life unfolded the way it did.
The plan didn’t fall into place because Cyrus was great or good or glorious. Cyrus wasn’t chosen for the plan because he had earned God’s favor. No, God designed his plan even before He was known or recognized by Cyrus.
It was a plan designed to bring God glory. It was a plan designed to fit into a much large plan for the well-being and redemption of God’s people, Israel (and later the Gentiles).
God had a plan. It involved a person.
God doesn’t create people by accident. He creates them with intent and with purpose.

You have been created with intent and with purpose.
You are not an accident. You were not create by chance or by luck or because of random chain of events.
God created you for a plan. And God’s plans do not fall apart. He sees them through. He is seeing you through.
Follow His plan.
He will make the crooked paths straight. He will open the double doors. He, the one true God who created both light and darkness, both peace and calamity, has a plan for you.
Follow the plan.
Let Him reveal it you you — step by step. Let Him make Himself know to you. Let Him declare His name in your life. Let Him gird and protect you. Let Him do all things.
Follow the plan.

Wow this is so encouraging! Thanks for the sweet words today, friend!
Knowing that God knew me before He ever spoke “In the beginning…” gives me good goose-bumps. He is so amazing.
Kelli, it’s amazing to know God has a plan for each one of us … to know that when life seems to be going haywire, He is still working His plan! It’s such a comfort, isn’t it! Thanks for sharing and hosting. Have a great week-end.
