Bible study.
What do you think of when you hear these words? Maybe you think of a book written to help you understand God’s word. Perhaps you think of a group of people meeting together to discuss God’s word. It could be that you picture a group of people with an additional book intending to talk about God’s word, but instead they wind up shooting the breeze for so long that they never actually end up talking about the Bible. (Yeah, it’s happened to me, too). There is nothing wrong with written Bible studies or small group meetings. In fact, these are very, very good things.
