Tour of Testimonies 2016

Tour of Testimonies 2016

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (‭Revelation‬ ‭12‬:‭10-11‬ NKJVemphasis mine)

“…they did not love their own lives to the death.”

It’s not easy to share one’s testimony. When you do you put a lot of yourself out there — the good stuff and the bad stuff — for other to see. And when you share online… well… that is a whole other level of not easy. It takes guts, bravery, and a confidence, not in oneself, but in the One who made the testimony possible in the first place.

Starting Wednesday and over the next few weeks you’ll be reading testimony from some brave women, willing to share how God has rescued them from their sin and shame. You will read about God’s glory in their lives, about how He revealed to them His goodness, and about the immeasurable grace He has extended to each of them. It is the same grace He has extended to you and me as well.

God’s goodness, His grace, and His glory are so mighty and wonderful, that these women can’t not share about it. They share at great risk to their reputations. They share at the risk of being criticized. They share at the risk of feeling old shame and reopening old wounds. But the share none the less. Why?

Because “they did not love their own lives to the death.”

Jesus Christ has done something miraculous and scandalous for these women. He did not love His own life more than He loved them. He turned Himself over to be bruised and beaten and separated from His heavenly Father for wrongs they committed, not Him. And He did it all for the sake of showing these women how much He loves them. And once they realized what He did for them, what only He could do… Well, they just couldn’t keep quiet any longer. It may have taken them some time to put into words, but here they are now testifying to God’s goodness, His grace, and His glory!

They no longer love their own lives. They love His.

How about you? Have you realized what Jesus has done for you? Are you dying to proclaim it? I’d love for you to share your testimony in this years tour. Just drop me a quick line letting me know your interest and I’ll send you the details.

Friends, please be praying for these brave women who are willing to share and those who will read their words. God will use these testimonies to further His kingdom. Let’s ask that He does so quickly.

Only by grace,

Kelli

P.S. While you what for the first 2016 testimony to hit the blog, check out all the amazing ones from last year. You’ll be blown away by what God chooses to do with ordinary, everyday sinners like you and me.
