Cattiness, judgement, bitterness, awkwardness, avoiding one another, gossip, and just plain rudeness. It’s sad to say, but we’ve all experienced these things. Even sadder, we’ve experienced them with our sisters in Christ. We often do not want to address it, we’d rather pretend it’s not happening, but there is a quiet fight going on among the women of the Church.
Jesus said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35 NKJV).
This kind of love reveals the glory of God, the quiet fight does not. However, many of us feel trapped, wanting to love our sisters but not knowing how to escape the conflict that keeps us from obeying our Lord’s command.
We need discipleship, education, and training. We need more thoughtful time in the Word of God in order to embrace the freedom and redemption that our Savior has provided.
Angie Tolpin’s online course The Quiet Fight Between Women is designed to help us live out the gospel and love our sisters the way Christ has called us to.
